NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

TOWN OF CONWAY

The Conway Board of Selectmen will hold a Public Hearing in the meeting room at Conway Town Hall, 1634 East Main Street, Center Conway, New Hampshire, on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 4:05 p.m. to hear public comment on a PETITION FROM THE CONWAY VILLAGE FIRE DISTRICT TO CHANGE THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CONWAY VILLAGE FIRE DISTRICT TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING AREA IN ALBANY, NH: 

Beginning at a point on the northwesterly side of NH State Highway Route 16, said bound of beginning being the northerly corner of land deeded by Laurel  J. Jones & Harold S. Jones to Arthur W. Seavey & Bernice E. Seavey on said Route 16, said bound of beginning being located South 44 degrees 25 minutes East from a stone bound on said Seavey’s North line; thence North 44 degrees 25 minutes West, and passing over two stone bounds, a distance of 200 feet along land of Seavey to an iron pipe; thence North 51 degrees 50 minutes West along land of said Seavey a distance of 114.5 feet to an iron pipe; thence North 36 degrees 35 minutes East along land of said Seavey a distance of 22 feet to an iron pipe; thence South 89 degrees 12 Minutes East along land of Seavey a distance of 148 feet to an iron pipe; thence North 39 degrees East along land of said Seavey a distance of 115 feet to an iron pipe and land of Valladares; then South 37 degrees 45 minutes East along land of Valladares to the Northwesterly side of said Route 16; thence Southwesterly along the Northwesterly side of said Route 16 as it runs, a distance of 200 feet, more or less, to the bound beginning.

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

  1. No person shall park a vehicle on any street from 12:00 midnight to 8:00 a.m. during the winter snow removal period, beginning November 15 and ending April 15 of each year.
  2. The Board of Selectmen may reduce the No Parking hours during the snow removal period from 12:00 midnight to 8:00 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in certain areas containing establishments with liquor licenses.  Official signs shall be erected in areas so designated.
  3. The Town will not be liable for any damage to any vehicle that may be in violation of this ordinance.

     DEPOSIT OF SNOW ON STREETS OR HIGHWAYS

     No person or persons shall deposit or cause to be deposited snow or ice upon the streets or public highways with the Town of Conway.  Any person violating the aforesaid ordinances shall be fined a sum not exceeding twenty dollars ($20.00).

     The Town of Conway will not be responsible for any damage or destruction of appurtenances to property placed in the right-of-way of any town highway during winter plowing and snow removal operations.  These appurtenances include, but are not limited to, mailboxes, fences, hedges, trees, shrubs, landscape timbers, grass or turf.
