New Transfer Station Hours
Effective Tuesday, July 5, 2022
HOURS:
Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Scale closes at 4:45 pm)
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Scale closes at 2:45 pm)
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Scale closes at 4:45 pm)
Sunday: CLOSED
*Must be in the gate 15-minutes prior to closing.
DUMP STICKERS INFORMATION
- Registration cards for new stickers are at the Transfer Station and the applicant should have one of the following to accompany it to get their sticker:
- The vehicle shall have a current registration, and be registered in either Conway, Albany or Eaton;
- Out of area vehicles with a current registration shall show proof of property ownership in the form of a tax bill
Items that may be brought, at no charge, to the Conway Transfer Station include the following:
- Brown Corrugated Cardboard
- Mixed Paper (envelopes, cereal boxes, junk mail, egg cartons, etc. – NO PLASTIC OF ANY KIND)
- Aluminum Can
- Glass (co-mingled green, brown and clear)
- Plastic (with symbols 1, 2, 3, 5 & 7) NOTE: We are no longer able to take black plastics or screw-on caps; please dispose of them in the regular trash
- Tin Cans
- Newsprint and magazines
- Scrap Metal

Items that may be brought to the Conway Transfer Station include the following:
Transfer Station Stickers | Solid Waste stickers are required for transfer station access. Transfer station stickers will be available at the Transfer Station. Proof of residency (i.e. motor vehicle registration, tax bill, etc.) will be required. |
Construction/ Demolition Debris | Shall be separated for deposit in designated, approved areas. $85.00 per ton; residential and commercial There will be a minimum charge of $3.00. |
Non-Recyclable Construction Debris | Shall be tipped at $85.00 per ton. There will be a minimum charge of $3.00 |
Commercially Hauled Trash | $85.00 per ton. |

Brush for chipping | Tree limbs less than twelve (12) inches in diameter, and brush, shall be separated and deposited in the area designated. |
Tires | Shall be separated for deposit in designated, approved areas. Car and Light Truck Tires = $5.00 per tire Commercial Truck and Bus = $10.00 per tire Greater than 24″ = Not Accepted |
Metals | Appliances, pipe, wire, springs, auto parts, miscellaneous scrap metal shall be separated and deposited in a designated area. All hazardous capacitors shall be removed from appliances prior to disposal at site. |
Refrigerators and Air Conditioners containing CFC | Shall be tipped at $15.00 each and deposited in designated area. |
Propane Tanks | Shall be tipped at $5.00 each |
Mattresses, box springs & upholstered furniture | Shall be tipped at $30.00 each |
Carpet | $85/Ton |
Car Batteries | Shall be separated and deposited in the designated area. |
Motor Oil | Shall be poured into the container provided by the Town. |
Compost Pile | Leaves and Grass Clippings shall be placed in the compost pile. |
Re-Use Area | The purpose of this facility is to dispose of materials which are usable to the general public, thus avoiding land filling these items. Tipping fees shall not be avoided by placing materials in the dump store. Attendants shall have the authority to determine if items) are unacceptable to be left at the dump store. Materials may be picked up on a first come first serve basis. No materials shall be saved for an individual. |
